Privacy Policy

This One is a hobby project. The short version: there are no user accounts, no tracking pixels, and nothing is sold to anyone.

What we collect

• No accounts. The site does not require sign-up. We do not store names, emails, or passwords for visitors.
• Anonymous analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, which records aggregate page views and referrers without cookies or persistent identifiers. It does not build a profile of you.
• Rate-limit logs. When you submit a community nomination or vote, the server briefly records your IP address to prevent spam and duplicate votes. These records are kept only as long as needed to enforce limits and are not used for anything else.
• Admin cookies. A single signed cookie is set only for the site administrator. Visitors do not receive cookies from us.
• Push tokens (optional). If a future native app version asks you to enable push notifications and you opt in, we store your device push token so we can send the daily pick. You can revoke this at any time in your device settings.

Third-party services

We pull album metadata and artwork from public sources including MusicBrainz, Cover Art Archive, the iTunes Search API, and Wikipedia. Visiting embedded resources from those services may be logged by the services themselves under their own privacy policies.

Affiliate links

Some “buy” buttons are affiliate links (Amazon, eBay, CDandLP). Clicking them may set cookies controlled by those retailers. We receive a small commission if you buy something. We never let affiliate relationships influence which album is featured.

Data retention & sharing

We don't sell, rent, or share data with advertisers. The limited data we do collect (rate-limit logs, push tokens) is kept only as long as needed for the feature it powers.
